Stained Glass Turkeys

Description: For this activity we looked at what stain glass is. To create our turkey, we use painter's tape to make the head of the turkey, they we used the thicker tape to make the feathers of the turkey. We then used a skinnier tape roll to make the different sections in each of the feathers. We then started to paint our turkey feathers. We needed to have 2 primary colors, two tints, and two secondary colors. For my primary colors I did red, blue, and yellow, my secondary colors were orange and green, and my tints were light green, light blue. I also included other colors like brown and pink.

Extension Activity: An extension activity could include a history lesson on stained glass windows. The students could research different stained glass window techniques throughout the years and provide an overview of how they have changed and evolved.
